Update to the Antiochian Community — Tom Manley Steps Down as President (October 30, 2020)

Email from President Tom Manley to the Antioch College community, October 30, 2020, announcing he would step down as president effective December 1, 2020 — earlier than his previously announced end-of-2021 retirement — due to a recurrence of prostate cancer requiring six months or more of treatment. Leadership passed to an interim triumvirate of three senior vice presidents (Sharen Neuhardt, John Jacobs ’76, and Shadia Alvarez ’96) “until a new president is appointed.” This transition set in motion the presidential search that brought Jane Fernandes to Antioch College in 2021.
