A multi-part critical essay collection written under a pseudonym shortly after the 2010 Antioch College Reunion, in response to Interim President Matthew Derr’s remarks urging alumni to “step back” from the reopened College. Sections include “The Antioch Way,” “Two Models of Leadership, One Failed,” a personal narrative titled “My Axe to Grind: A Personal Tale of Disenchantment” (the author states they deliberately altered names, including their own, to focus on actions rather than individuals), “A Plausible Explanation for Bizarre Institutional Behavior,” an “Apology,” and “Addenda” dated August 18, 2010. Critiques the new administration’s treatment of the Nonstop Liberal Arts Institute community and traces the author’s own involvement in the original Save Antioch movement dating to June 2007.
