The full text and signature list of a petition created in spring 2008 and open through September 2009, in which over 1,600 higher-education professionals urged that Antioch College be reopened as an independent, four-year residential liberal-arts institution. The petition calls on Antioch University’s Board of Trustees to cede control of the College to alumni and faculty, and praises the parallel efforts of Nonstop Antioch and the dismissed College faculty to continue the college’s academic tradition in Yellow Springs. Signatories include faculty and professionals from institutions including Princeton, Ohio State, Cambridge, and CUNY.
