Board Policy 01.008, approved by the Antioch College Board of Trustees on January 10, 2010 and signed by then-Secretary Pavel Curtis. It sets the standard for how the Board and all of its committees, subcommittees, task forces, and working groups must record and post minutes of their meetings — place, date, time, chair and officers present, attendance and quorum, confirmation that prior minutes were reviewed and approved, a description of what was discussed, and a record of any votes taken (including the count for, against, and abstaining when a simple majority isn’t enough). Minutes aren’t meant to be a full transcript, just enough detail to convey the substance of the discussion. Responsibility for compliance falls to the assigned staff member for committee meetings and to the Secretary for Board meetings.
