Howard Coleman, a University of Washington School of Law graduate, serves as General Counsel / Managing
Director of Genesee. Mr. Coleman assists in the due diligence and manager selection process, particularly in
terms of reviewing the legal and regulatory issues involved in a prospective investment manager’s strategy. Be-
fore joining Genesee in 1997, Mr. Coleman was a partner in the law firm of Riddell Williams where his practice
emphasized securities litigation and other securities related issues. He is a member of
Genesee’s Investment Committee. Mr. Coleman also serves on the Investment Committee of Antioch Univer-
sity, his alma mater.

Nancy R. Crow practices in the areas of tax planning, estate planning, employee benefits, and probate. Nancy
assists her clients in planning their transactions with an eye toward avoiding excessive taxes and controversies.
Her knowledge of tax matters, employee benefits, and the wealth transfer process enables her to advise clients
on the proper management of legal and financial affairs.
Nancy’s clients include closely-held businesses, professional associations, nonprofit organizations, retirement
funds, and individuals who require assistance with providing for their loved ones upon death or disability.
Nancy is a director of the firm, and she chairs the tax department.
Nancy was selected to Colorado SuperLawyers in the field of tax in 2006 and 2007.

Since joining Friedman Rubin & White in 1999, Ken has appeared on behalf of plaintiffs in courts throughout
the United States. He has successfully tried cases involving claims of sexual harassment, defamation, personal
injury, police misconduct, and insurance bad faith.
Ken is admitted to practice in Washington, Alaska and Montana.

Kenneth R. Friedman ’83
A long term resident of the Indianapolis area, Sharon is a graduate of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio
and went on to receive her JD degree from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1975.
Ms. Merriman is a civil litigator in both Federal and State Courts since 1975 and specializes in personal injury
cases, representing businesses in commercial collection matters, probate and estate work. Ms. Merriman also
serves as an arbitrator for NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers). Additionally, she is recognized as
an
arbitrator for The American Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Association. Ms. Merriman is also qualified as
a Family Law Mediator.
Ms. Merriman was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Indiana, the United States District Court
for the Southern District of Indiana, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and the
Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Sharon is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association the Indiana State Bar Association and currently serves
as a Trustee of her Church and a Trustee of Antioch University in Ohio.

Janet M. Morgan has more than 25 years of strategic business planning, management, development, brand-
ing, marketing, public relations and consulting experience. Jan describes her mission as “creating sustainable,
progressive change”. She advises national and international leaders on ways to strengthen their organization,
region, government or community.
Jan Morgan is President of Morgan Amadeo LLC, an international consulting group focusing on strategic plan-
ning and project implementation for NGO’s, nonprofit organizations, governments, start-up companies and
social venture enterprises.
Jan was the Director of Not-for-Profit Consulting Services at RSM McGladrey in New York. The McGladrey
Group is the fifth largest consulting, tax and accounting firm in the United States. She was Director of the Amer-
ican Express Tax & Business Services’ Not-for-Profit Consulting Practice at the time of the RSM McGladrey
acquisition in 2005. Most recently Jan has worked with the French Institute Alliance Française, Living Cities:
National Community Development Corporation, Friends of the World Food Program, United Nations World
Food Programme – Rome, Rubin Museum of Art, Jewish Recovery Houses, Fiorella H. LaGuardia Community
College and Lighthouse International.
Before joining American Express TBS in 2003, Jan served as Managing Director of Media Minds Group in
Greenwich CT. Her clients included Warner Lambert, Tourismo Cocha SA, D & B and the Wharton School
of the University of Pennsylvania. She worked with Wharton’s Emeritus Professor, Dr. Howard V . Perlmutter
developing and presenting his principles of Deep Dialog and Collaborative Social Architecture.
Prior to Media Minds, Jan was a Founding Partner of Zink Communications; later acquired and known as The
Zink Group, a communications and management consulting agency with more than 350 employees, 400 consul-
tants and 4 locations in the US. During her 17-year tenure she advised over 50 organizations including: Apple,
American Express, IBM, Citigroup, AT&T, Computer Associates, France Telecom US, Hoffmann La-Roche,
Pfizer, D & B, Mercedes Benz US, Xerox, SmithKline Beecham, Merck, Metropolitan Life, Random House,
Schering Plough, New York Life and William Morrow.
Jan holds a Duke Global MBA, from the Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree from St.
John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Antioch University. She
lectures, facilitates board retreats and is a member of many organizations including Social Venture Network,
Women Donors Network, Women in Development, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Bioneers, and
Business for Social Responsibility.
